Zootopia: Rise of the Vixen

One day in Zootopia, Nick Wilde found himself in a financial slump.  While he was enjoying working with Judy Hopps at the ZPD, and he was making some good money at this job, it wasn’t enough.  He was living on his own, and his expenses had gone up.  Nick was wanting to start his own business, and with the state he was currently in, he couldn’t afford to start it.

“I know how you feel, Nick,” said Judy. “Why don’t you try getting a loan from someone?”

After hearing Judy’s suggestion, he remembered a panda he knew who gave loans named Ping Chang.  When his shift was over that day, he went to see Ping.

“Hi, Ping,” said Nick. “Look, I’m here to see about you giving me a loan. You see, I’m trying to start my own business, but the money I’m making at ZPD isn’t helping me much, and I have expenses I have to pay off and all. So what do you say, buddy?  Care to help me out here.”

“Sorry, Nick,” said Ping.  “My hands are tied right now. I simply have no time for you, especially since you have a bad reputation with me among other Zootopia residents.”

“Is that so?” Nick interjected. “Very well. I can take a hint. From this day on, Ping, we are through!”  Then he left.

The next day, Nick went back to work.

“Any luck getting your loan, Nick?” asked Judy.

“No,” Nick answered. “He claims he doesn’t have time for me. I don’t know what I’m gonna do, Carrots.”

Judy felt bad for Nick and wondered if there was anything she could do to help.  She decided to go to Chief Bogo and see if there was anything he could do to help the situation.

“Chief, I would like to talk to you,” said Judy. “Officer Wilde is working on starting his own business, but he’s in a financial slump right now because his expenses have gone up. He tried to get a loan, but they refused. Is there anything you can do to help him?”

“Well, I certainly cannot give him a raise at this time,” said the Chief. “If I may ask, who did he speak to for this loan?”

“It’s a panda named Ping Chang,” said Judy.

Fortunately, Chief Bogo knew this panda very well. He is very strict. However, he does have a weakness, and this gave him an idea.

“Hopps, bring Wilde in here,” he said. “I’m going to send him on a secret mission.”

Judy went and got Nick and brought him in.

“Wilde, I am assigning a special assignment to you,” said Bogo. “Hopps will be playing a role in it as well. However, I am going to call someone else to help you with this mission as well.”

Chief Bogo got on the phone with this somebody and called them over to the police station. After a while, the animal he called walked into the room. Much to Judy and Nick’s surprise, it was Gazelle, the pop singer!

“Why, hello there, officers,” said Gazelle. “How can I be of your assistance?”

“First off, I want to thank you, Gazelle, for taking time out of your schedule to help us out with this mission,” said Bogo. “This Mission is top secret, and no one else must know about it.  It will certainly help Nick out towards his career.”

This got Nick’s attention, so he listened to Bogo’s plan as he explained.

That night, Judy, Nick and Gazelle arrived at Ping’s office. The plan was for Nick and Gazelle to go undercover posing as a new pop singer.  They started putting together their disguise.  Nick got on Gazelle’s shoulders. Gazelle strapped pillows onto her hips and butt. Nick and Gazelle wrapped themselves in a raspberry-colored trench coat. Nick put on a big Black Afro wig and Geisha makeup including fake eyelashes painted around his eyes.  As Nick admired how they looked, Judy couldn’t resist laughing.

“You guys look so great!” Judy smiled. “There’s is no way Ping could resist this!”

Gazelle giggled, “This will be fun!  Let’s go, Nick!”

“Well, if it’ll give me my loan, let’s do it,” said Nick.

Gazelle started walking while carrying Nick. They walked down the dark streets of Zootopia and found Ping. Gazelle started walking towards Ping in a rather sexy manner.  When Ping saw the disguised duo, he did a wild take: His tongue rolled out of his mouth, and his eyes turned into large hearts.

“Why hello there, big boy,” said Nick in a sexy-sounding falsetto voice. “I was wondering if you could help me out.”

“W-w-what can I do for you, Miss?” Ping asked still in love.

“Well, my name is Arctic Vixen,” Nick said carrying on the act. “I’m a new pop singer in town. I’d like to make a deal with you. I will perform a song for you at your night club if you would pay me $1,000,000.”  Nick then leaned in towards Ping and scratched his chin with one finger. “Surely, you will consider?”

Ping was so in love and was totally buying this, so naturally, he agreed to the deal. “You have got yourself a deal, baby!” he said as he kissed “her” paw. “Be at my main stage at 9:00 tonight.”

“Okay,” said Nick.”  “I’ll be on my merry way until then. See you there, big boy!” Gazelle started to walk away shaking her massive butt at Ping. Ping floated off in complete daze.

As soon as they were out of sight, Gazelle poked her head out of the coat and looked up at Nick. “Heehee!  He bought it!” she cheered.

“Great,” Nick said in his normal voice. “Now all we gotta do is carry on this act until he gives me the money.  I hope you don’t feel rigged about this, Gazelle.”

“Oh, no, it’s fine,” said Gazelle. “I’m already a celebrity, and I have more money than I’ll ever need. Besides, I’d do anything for a friend.”

“We’re friends?” Nick blinked.

“Of course we are!” Gazelle answered.

“Nice!  I guess I’ll be adding you on Furbook after all this!” said Nick.

They arrived backstage at the nightclub. Gazelle hid back in the coat and walked in a sexy manner towards Ping.

“I came as you said, cutey,” Nick said in his falsetto.”

“You’re on in two minutes, babe,” said Ping. “I’m gonna go announce you right now.”

As he went onto the stage, Gazelle peeked out again and winked at Nick giving him a thumbs up before hiding again.

Ping announced to the audience: “And now, we’ve got a special surprise guest performance tonight. A new pop singer performing in Zootopia for the first time!  Put your paws, claws and hoofs together for...Miss Arctic Vixen!”

Everyone in the club applauded as the disguised Nick and Gazelle walked out into the stage.  As the music played, Gazelle started dancing and singing into a microphone under the coat. Nick lip-synced to Gazelle’s singing and did some gestures holding a microphone (turned off) in his hand as well.  Little did they know, Judy was in the audience dressed as a fan of “Arctic Vixen”. She was undercover wearing a baseball cap and T-shirt that said “I (heart) A.V.”

When the song had ended, everyone applauded like crazy. Nick and Gazelle took a bow before heading backstage.

“That was one heck of a performance, Miss Vixen!” Ping said.

Nick giggled in his falsetto, “Why thank you, Sir. Now, then, my money?”

“Right away, ma’am,” said Ping.

He rushed to get the sack of money, but before he handed it to “her”, who should show up but the disguised Judy Hopps.

“Oh my gosh!  Oh my gosh!  Oh my gosh!  Oh my gosh!” she cheered. “Arctic Vixen!  I’m your biggest #1 fan!”

“Psst!  Carrots, what’re you doing here?” Nick whispered alongside Judy.

“Oh my gosh!  Can I have your autograph please?” Judy squealed.

Nick shrugged and decided to play along. He switched back to his falsetto and said, “Sure, dear.”

Gazelle bended down as Nick leaned over and signed the autograph.

“Oh, thank you so much!  My friends are going to be so jealous!” Judy said before running off.

“My, you sure are kind to your fans,” said Ping.

Nick giggled, “Yes. I always have time for my fans, so I don’t dare disappoint them.”

“Just for that,” said Ping, “I think I’m going to give you $10 million!”

Nick was surprised at this and was about to freak out.

“Stay in character, Nick!” Gazelle whispered to Nick out of Ping’s hearing.

Nick cleared his throat and said in his falsetto, “Why thank you very much. You are a very generous man.”

“For performers like you, absolutely,” said Ping. “And you can come perform at my club any time you want. May I have your number if I want you to perform again?”

Nick started to stammer. He couldn’t give his number because Ping already had his number, and he knew that would blow their cover. He didn’t know what to do.

“Just give him my number, Nick,” Gazelle whispered to Nick. She whispered her number to Nick as Nick repeated it back to Ping.

“Thanks,” he said. “Enjoy your money.”

“Oh, I will, big boy,” Nick said. “See you around.”

Gazelle walked out of the building shaking her bodacious butt at Ping one last time.

Ping fainted in love.

When they were far away enough, Nick and Gazelle got out of their disguise.

“That was so much fun!” said Gazelle. “I guess now, I have a secret identity!”

Judy joined them. “Mission accomplished, Nick,” she said. “Though I’m sorry you had to dress in drag.”

“Hey, Carrots, I would have done anything to get my loan, even if it meant going to those lengths,” said Nick.  Then he turned back to Gazelle: “And Gazelle, thank you again for helping me get my loan.”

“Anytime, Nick,” said Gazelle.

Nick went on, “Not only did I end up more than enough money to start my business, but I also gained a new friend!”

Gazelle was so flattered to hear those words coming from Nick. What he said truly made her day. As a way of thanking him, she picked him up, gave him a hug, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Nick, you can call me your friend anytime,” she said as she put him back down. “Whenever you need me, just give me a call.”

“Will do, Gazelle,” Nick said as he winked and pointed at her.

Suddenly, Gazelle’s stomach growled. 

“Uh, heh, heh. Pardon me,” she blushed. “I haven’t had dinner yet.”

“We’ve all been there,” said Judy. 

“Say!  How about I take you guys out to dinner?  It’s my treat!” Gazelle suggested. 

Nick and Judy agreed, and they all went out to dinner together. 

After that, the three animals went their separate ways, and the following weekend, Nick started planning for starting his business.
